A clean, healthy and sustainable environment is necessary and essential for survival of life on planet Earth. A UUA General Resolution written in 1994 stated “…the concept of environmental justice links the principles of liberal religion with the values of ecological awareness and racial and class justice.” Consult UU Ministry for Earth and the Green Sanctuary Program to understand the Unitarian Universalist approach to Environmental Justice.

The environment and the health and safety of our state, our country and the globe and all living creatures that live on it are a major concern. UUJF formed the Climate Justice Ministry led by Jan B. so that this important work would be a major focus as we concern ourselves with the daily concerns of our complicated world.
